They hold the secret to jungle survival. They know how to build shelters in the tamarind trees, how to make bridges from bamboo, how to catch fish with a spear, how to start fires using sticks, and how to cook the most delicious rainforest treats! They’re the ultimate jungle bushcraft experts.
This week, it's your chance to become just as jungle-ready as they are! You‘ll start by getting to grips with survival skill number one - building shelters and mastering techniques for knots and lashings. And to really make the most of those shelters, you’ll learn about the importance of jungle hammocks and how to construct them, and then make windchimes to lull you into a nice sleep! For the ultimate skills in survival you’ll discover how to filter water using bamboo, make mosquito-repellent bracelets, concoct healing jungle lip balms, and track animals. You’ll also find out all about the fascinating cultures of different indigenous tribes and make your own Indonesian tribal mask.
There’ll be so many things to do and explore, you’ll quickly work up an appetite, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Throughout the week you’ll be trying out your cooking skills, jungle-style! Learn to barbeque fish and bake Indonesian flatbreads over the fire, drink sweet jasmine tea made using Kelly kettles, sample delicious roasted crickets, and to finish off the week, you’ll get to enjoy some delicious banana fritters around the campfire.

Please note that our daily itinerary is a guide, and some activities may need to be changed or rescheduled when circumstances occasionally make it difficult for us to run them, including poor weather. We’ll always do our best to offer enjoyable alternatives and, wherever possible, run the planned activity on an alternative day.
