Please fill in our registration form to request a place for your child at The Hive. Once we have received your request, we will contact you as soon as possible with confirmation details.
We require a refundable deposit of £150 to secure your child a place (to be paid before the commencement date). We also require a minimum of 1 full day or two half-days a week to ensure continuity for the children and to ensure they get the most out of their forest school experience.
We are a registered provider of the Government’s Free Early Education Entitlements Scheme (FEEE). The entitlements offered at our setting are:
• 2 Year Old Free Entitlement (subject to eligibility)
• 3 and 4 year old Universal Free Entitlement
• 30 Hours Free Childcare Entitlement (subject to eligibility)
The schemes provide up to 15 or 30 hours per week of free childcare for children aged 2, 3 or 4 years old (subject to eligibility criteria) until they reach compulsory school age.
The Government funding does not cover the cost of camp fire snacks, consumables (such as nappies, wipes, and creams), and specialist Forest School activities (such as whittling, tool and fire activities, shelter building, campfire cooking, allotment gardening, music and bee keeping). For those families who access our services solely for their FEEE provision, these are optional extras.
The maximum FEEE is 570 hours per year for the 15 hour per week entitlement and 1,140 hours per year for the 30 hours per week entitlement. We offer this entitlement stretched over 52 weeks of the year. This means taking fewer hours per week, stretched over more weeks of the year. We do not offer the FEEE entitlement over 38 weeks (term time only).
Government funding is not within our control or gift. Eligibility for this funding is subject to criteria (which may also change) set down by the government and where you are not eligible, or your eligibility changes, this will affect the prices we charge you. For up-to-date information on government funding, please check https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/.
Tax-free childcare vouchers are a cost effective way for working parents to pay for their child's nursery fees. The Hive is registered with most childcare voucher providers in the UK. We can also add a new provider within 48 hours of registration. Just mention this to the team at registration.
The Hive is registered to receive payment through the government's Tax-Free Childcare scheme. To pay this way, you just need to sign in to your government account and look for The Hive in the list of providers.
