Ofsted
All Hive camps are registered with Ofsted and inspected on a regular basis. We are on the Compulsory Childcare Register, as we provide holiday care for children aged 5-13 but not on the Early Years Register. This means that, unlike schools, we are not provided with an inspection report or a rating but rather receive a confirmation letter that we have 'met the standards' expected by Ofsted. Ensuring that all the children who attend our camps are always safe and well cared for by qualified staff attentive to their needs even in unlikely or emergency situations is very important to us. Risk Assessments
Working with children in the outdoors safely involves a deep awareness of potential risks, as well as a strict process for all activities. We carry out regular generic risk assessments as well as a dynamic risk assessment at the beginning of each day and each activity. Our latest generic risk assessment is below. Memberships
We are members of the Forest School Association, as well as the Institute of Outdoor Learning and we adhere to their code of conduct. We are also a Living Wage Employer and a B Corp certified organisation (pending).
