Barney was so excited. He was staying at his grandma’s house for the holidays. She lived by an old quarry in the woods and as always, there’d be loads of adventures to go on!
All started well, until one day he got a bit too close to the edge of the pit and tumbled down through what seemed to be the roof of a den. Struggling to find his bearings in the dark, he was met by somebody with shaggy black hair wearing a rabbit-skin and speaking in grunts... Puzzled, curious and a little bit nervous, Barney followed the caveman in his cavern and, as they got to know each other, he named him Stig. And this is where their adventures started!
Inspired by Stig of The Dump, the mission follows in the footsteps of Barney and Stig, as apprentice Cave Dwellers learn the exciting skills the caveman uses to survive: there will be dens to build, firewood to collect, fires to light, hunts to go on, tools to whittle, charcoal to make, plants to forage, potions to concoct, caveman cookies to feast on, and more!
Please note that our daily itinerary is a guide, and some activities may need to be changed or rescheduled when circumstances occasionally make it difficult for us to run them, including poor weather. We’ll always do our best to offer enjoyable alternatives and, wherever possible, run the planned activity on an alternative day.
