Dragons, foo dogs, griffins, medusas, basilisks… For as long as humans have existed, there have been stories of monsters, mythical beasts and unimaginable, supernatural creatures. Some hide in the depths of ancient forests, some lurk in terrifying swamps, some are vicious demons of darkness whilst others are benevolent blessings to mankind. And some still walk the Earth if you ask the right person!
On this mission, your task is to build, animate and bring to life Giant Articulated Beasts: they can be as terrifying as you want them to be, or as freaky, funny or foolish as you like. You’ll learn how to build articulated skeletons to make your beasts walk and articulated wings to make them fly. You may want to “wear” some of your beasts and make them interactive; or they could glow, speak and play tricks. You’ll also learn the complex art of puppetry and will get to grips with the basics of animatronics!
The mission will conclude with the wildest of Carnivals, where beasts will come to life for an exuberant and unforgettable parade!
Please note that our daily itinerary is a guide, and some activities may need to be changed or rescheduled when circumstances occasionally make it difficult for us to run them, including poor weather. We’ll always do our best to offer enjoyable alternatives and, wherever possible, run the planned activity on an alternative day.
