Stretching across Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador is the richest, most diverse mountain range in the world - the Northern Andes. And hidden within its dizzying peaks is an experiment set to change the future. A vertical city nearly 500 storeys tall that holds an entire human civilisation within its two massive skyscrapers…meet Transcendent Towers.
Pushing the boundaries of architectural design, this experimental city is at the cutting edge of human technology, a life-changing opportunity for the future of humankind, and you have been chosen to bring your expertise to the challenge. During the week you’ll be faced with different issues sent from the vertical city. You’ll conduct experiments, solve problems and learn to think outside the box when it comes to living in this futuristic habitat. How do you transport goods to the people on the 384th floor? Is there a way to grow food in the dark? And what alternative methods of communication might there be in a power outage?
The progress of the experiment and the effects of the decisions you make will be tracked using the City Score Dashboard - be sure to keep it nice and healthy or the consequences could be catastrophic! Compete in teams to tackle each issue and at the end of every day you’ll pitch your ideas to the OG Experimentalists to see who wins, with prizes up for grabs throughout the week!
But that’s not even the best part - at the end of the week, you’ll introduce Transcendent Towers to your parents and get to turn the experiment on them! How will they fare when they have to crack the enigma code? Which grown up has the skills to build their own circuit system? And why not give them a cheeky endurance test to find out who’s got what it takes to survive at the top?!
Think you’ve got the skills to make this experiment a success? Can you get inventive with ideas that’ll have you reaching dizzy heights? Let the experiment begin…
