Enter the world of The LongBow Squad as you design and craft your very own bow and arrows, like a professional archer.
On this mission, you’ll join a team of young Tributes dedicated to the art of the LongBow! You’ll learn all about the different types of woods experts use to craft bows, you’ll explore design techniques for maximum bow efficiency, and you’ll get to carve your very own Longbow to take home. Your Tribute Training will start with choosing your timber and learning the best whittling techniques for bow carving. You’ll learn about tillering and string construction before moving onto arrow design, assembling and fletching.
As well as archery, your Tribute Training will also give you the skills you’ll need to survive as a LongBowyer. You’ll learn about camouflaging, foraging for edible plants, building a camp and lighting a large fire. And to make sure you’re well-fed along the way you’ll feast on pancakes cooked over the fire, drink delicious hot chocolate from a Kelly kettle, and even try some delicious edible insects!
Once your bow is complete, you’ll take part in our final Tribute Competition where you’ll get your archery skills up to scratch before competing in the final LongBow tournament! Time to dig deep and make sure the odds are in your favour!
