First you’ll meet Alex. She’s a journalist and ecologist who spends her life on the road researching the most endangered places in the world. She has a bit of a problem at the moment though… She’s filming a video diary of her travels for National Geographic and her producer has asked for exciting facts, creations and artefacts on the wildlife, culture and art of all the places she visits.
Yikes! She has no idea how to do this… This is where you come in:)
To help Alex, you’ll have to learn how to build an Inuksuk the Innuit way, you’ll discover the art of Carnival and mask making in Peru, you’ll encounter the “old men of the forest” in Borneo, you’ll find out why you need to keep a very close eye on the vanilla orchids of Madagascar, you’ll have a go at making your own mosaics like a true Turk, and more… As you make your way around the globe, you’ll also have a go at tasting the scrumptious foods you’ll discover along the way!
The journey will culminate with an invitation to discover and sample the children’ creations, followed by a fun family quiz. Parents, be prepared!
