In the deepest, darkest corner of the Arcanus family attic lies a forbidden chest. Inside the chest there is a mischievous book. Griselda’s mum had always said to stay away from the forbidden chest in the attic, but one dark and stormy October evening, Griselda and her brother Gwyndor were playing in the attic, and Griselda’s curiosity got the better of her. She just couldn’t resist the teensiest peep inside the secret chest. Now nothing would ever be the same again...
Inside she found all kinds of wondrous objects like wands, brooms, potions, and a dusty old book full of strange letters and symbols. Griselda opened the book and started to read, and then it happened...right before her eyes, with a small and ominous “puff”... Gwyndor turned into a Monster Snail!
In a panic, and not knowing what to do, Griselda called her cousin Fridrik for urgent assistance. Fridrik works for The Hive’s Department of Myth, Folklore and Magical Investigation… surely he’d know what to do?! As Griselda relayed her tale, Fridrik became very excited, “I knew it!” he shouted, “I knew magic was real! Don’t worry Griselda, I’ll gather a team together and we’ll figure this all out. Your brother will be back to normal in no time at all!” “Ok,” Griselda replied nervously. “There’s just one more thing Fridrik... please don’t tell Mum!”
This Halloween, The Hive is seeking apprentice wizards and witches for an all-important mission. Can you learn how to make a wand, create mythical creatures, cast protection spells, and brew life-changing (possibly exploding!) potions? Then we want to hear from you! This mission will have you delving into the wonderful world of magic to learn more about spellbinding subjects like herbology, astronomy, symbology and...snailology?? Can you help Griselda change Gwyndor back into his younger brother self without the detection of their mum, or evil uncle Hordrik? It’s time to make some magic!
A SPELLBINDING MIX OF CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION, THIS MISSION WILL EXPLORE TEAMWORK, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND POTION MAKING IN A WORLD WHERE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
