Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, The Hive will not run in all locations this summer. On 1st July 2020, the government confirmed that holiday clubs could operate this summer, provided they followed the relevant guidance. We have therefore made the decision to run a small camp for a limited time only at the following 2 locations:
This assumes that the current Covid-19 situation continues to improve and that government guidance for schools, early years and childcare providers does not change. Our team has been working hard over the past few weeks to adapt our missions and develop policies and procedures that allow us to safely reopen two of our camps. Parents can consult specific government Covid-19 guidance for holiday clubs here.
Were the guidance to change, resulting in The Hive having to cancel the 2, parents would be entitled to a credit note valid until October 2021 or a full refund.
Summer camps will not be running at Merchant Taylors' School, St George's College, Sevenoaks Prep and Haslemere School. We hope to be back in all 4 locations for the October half-term 2020.
For the 2 camps running, we will be following social distancing rules and the latest government guidance for schools and childcare settings (as published on 1st July 2020). Parents are very welcome to consult the guidance we're following here.
In practice this means that we are implementing a number of key changes to the way in which our missions usually run. This will include (but is not limited to) the following:
